The purpose of training:

Formation of skills in managing an endoscope, performing endoscopic diagnostic and treatment (including surgical) studies on the organs of the upper gastrointestinal tract (esophagogastroduodenoscopy), lower gastrointestinal tract (colonoscopy), respiratory tract (bronchoscopy).
Improved competencies:
• possession of practical skills in performing intraluminal endoscopic procedures, manipulations and operations on the organs of the upper and lower parts of the gastrointestinal tract, upper respiratory tract;
• generalization and systematization of knowledge;
• ability to introspection of actions and development of critical thinking.
Upon completion of training, the specialist should be able to:
• to collect an anamnesis and compare the information obtained with the data of the available medical documentation for the patient in order to select the desired type of endoscopic examination;
• determine the indications and contraindications for performing a particular endoscopic examination;
• choose the optimal type and type of endoscope, depending on the nature of the planned endoscopic examination;
• choose methods of biopsy and be able to perform them;
• visually clearly define the anatomical boundaries of the departments of the studied organs and physiological constrictions;
• correctly assess the responses of the sphincter apparatus of the organs under study in response to the introduction of an endoscope and air;
• determine the nosological form of the disease on the basis of the identified macroscopic signs of mucosal changes;
• correctly draw up the protocol of endoscopic examination.
Upon completion of training, the specialist should have the skills to:
• conducting esophagogastroduodenoscopy;
• conducting bronchofibroscopy;
• performing a colonoscopy;
• targeted biopsy from the mucous membranes of the digestive tract and upper respiratory tract;
• removal of benign epithelial tumors (polyps) from the gastrointestinal tract and tracheobronchial tree during endoscopic examination;
• performance of local hemostasis in gastrointestinal bleeding during endoscopy and in pulmonary bleeding during bronchoscopy;
• esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, using all the techniques for a detailed examination of the mucous membrane of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum with endoscopy and duodenoscopy; all parts of the colon and terminal ileum - during colonoscopy; tracheobronchial tree, up to the bronchi of the 5th order - with bronchoscopy;
• performance of smears-imprints for cytological examination.
Upon completion of the training, the specialist should be proficient in:
